7PM Saturday, January 13, 2018: Screening of Gina Kelly's feature Driftless + animated short by Mica O'Herlihey, Love Under Will of the Hag's Long Tooth

Two friends, one in front of the camera, one behind, spend 2 years together, as one endures what adds up to be a turning point in their life. A story of a life in transition, Driftless (2017) follows Mica O'Herlihy, transgender parent of 3, sick with Lyme disease, as they undergo hormone replacement therapy and confront the painful decision to sell their isolated midwestern farm. The camera becomes a way to hold a friend through their troubles and their joys as they manage their search for home. Evoking timeless themes of trauma and rebirth, Driftless quietly constructs a powerful testament to a parent's love.

Love Under Will of the Hag's Long Tooth (2015) is a hand painted rotoscope revelation of the inner beast and their most carnal cravings in a post-gender, post-apocalyptic cave-dwelling commune.  It is part of a collaborative film titled Hanky Code, where participants created segments based on a sexual fetish of their choice.
